WASTEWATER SCREENING

Wastewater screening involves a mechanical-physical process aimed at removing solids and  organic substances from the wastewater. Located upstream of wastewater plants, these machines remove materials and substances which, due to their nature and size, may damage the equipment and jeopardize the efficiency of downstream treatment phases.

The wastewater screening process has the purpose of retaining both non-settling and settling coarse solids. The screen is installed inside the inlet channel of the plant.

The choice of screw screens depends on various parameters linked to the type of plant, the installation site environmental features, as well as the type and size of the suspended solids being treated.

Fluid Technologies offers a complete range of standard and customized screening systems, including the construction and sale of screw screens for pre-treating any kind of wastewater.

SCREW SCREENS

Screw screens are used during the primary treatment stage involving any kind of wastewater. In particular, vertical screw screen compactors are used in pumping stations to protect the pumps. These machines are fundamental in mechanical fine, medium or coarse screening processes.

BAR SCREENS

Our company, specialized in the production of wastewater treatment equipment, provides bar screens composed of a stainless steel frame for intercepting and removing large solids that could disrupt or slow down the depuration process or the system devices, or clog the pipelines.

STEP SCREENS

Considered as valid automated systems for screening debris and solids suspended in liquids, step screens are extremely effective in solid / liquid separation processes. They are typically used in wastewater treatment and depuration plants, where efficient primary screening is crucial for the entire cycle of downstream processes.

ROTARY DRUM SCREENS

Rotary drum screens perform fine grit micro-screening and are installed upstream of small and medium-sized civil and industrial depuration plants. They are also used for screening industrial process water.

STATIC BAR SCREENS

Static bar screens are designed to clear influent water of suspended particulate solids that may settle in subsequent sections of the plant. We guarantee that our screens are made of sturdy material, resistant to atmospheric agents.

ARC SCREENS

Automatic arc screens are used for screening of coarse solids contained in industrial and civil wastewater to separate suspended materials ranging from 15 to 40 mm in size. These machines consist of a fixed semicircular screen and two/ four rotating arms fitted with cleaning combs.

Every screening problem has a solution: consult with us to find the system that best suits your needs.
